Our Mission Statement

The Sudanese Consortium for Surgical Development (SCSD) is there to meet the need for high-quality surgical services in Sudan, a low-income country that suffers the double burden of disease. We offer a platform where the healthcare actors can share and collaborate to achieve the vision of high-quality, safe and affordable surgical services. Our services target a vast range of professionals and stakeholders, starting with the community, medical students, residents on training and surgical specialist and administrators. The SCSD is working to achieve its vision through the following missions: - Provides surgical leadership for their members as future surgeons. - SCSD advocate for surgical development through knowledge sharing and distribution. - SCSD cultivates quality in surgical services through stakeholders, and policy maker engagement in quality improvement projects. - SCSD promote professional advancement through research and high-standard surgical training.
