Description
My name is Osman Salazar, I was born in Guatemala but I live in Spain.
QUICK FACTS:
I'm a neurosurgeon right now in my second year after training. I work at the academic hospital Son Espases at Majorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. Our department has a neurosurgical residency training program and I participate actively in the teaching process of the trainees.
I'm a general neurosurgeon actually interested in pediatric neurosurgery, spine surgery, skull base surgery and peripheral nerve surgery.
I'm enrolled in the neuroscience Ph.D. program of Balearic Islands University (Universitat Illes Balears - UIB) and my thesis research topic is about "Find predictive markers of the effectiveness of decompressive craniectomy in severe TBI".
I also collaborate with the medical school of the university, in the subjects of anatomy and physiology, as a collaborating teacher.
I really passionate about data science, in fact, I am learning in a self-taught way with the wide range of quality resources available online.
INTERESTS:
I believe in collaboration and the free exchange of information to generate ideas that positively change the way we do things, therefore, I am willing to be part of teams that seek to improve the things for the common good.
I hope that InterSurgeon is a platform that allows this collaboration
