I am a paediatric neurosurgeon who did residency at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and Fellowship at the University of Colorado (Children's Hospital Colorado). I am Canadian. I also did my PhD in Experimental Medicine at McGill. I work in an almost completely paediatric neurosurgery practice (98% paediatrics) at the Montreal Children's Hospital, which is a public, academic centre affiliated with McGill University. I perform almost all aspects of paediatric neurosurgery but my special interests are in epilepsy, brain tumours, post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus of prematurity, and craniosynostosis. My research interests include methods of optimizing the pre-surgical evaluation of non-lesional, MRI-negative focal epilepsy cases through novel imaging approaches, magnetoencephalography, and stereo-EEG, as well as epidemiology and machine learning approaches for predicting outcomes for children with brain tumours. I have worked in hospitals in Haiti, South Africa, and Taiwan, in addition to the USA and Canada. I would like to pursue further endeavours that would allow me to collaborate with neurosurgeons and other health care practitioners from around the world. I have been particularly inspired by the recent work and efforts of the ISPN in this regard.
