Our Mission Statement
The Global Anaesthesia, Surgery and Obstetric Collaboration (GASOC) is a UK based trainee-led group made up of surgical, anaesthetic and obstetric junior doctors. We are passionate about learning and sharing medical knowledge and experience to improve surgical outcomes in low and middle income countries. We strive to encourage junior doctors, our future consultants, to become actively involved in global surgery, by partaking in clinical projects as well as by encouraging education and research in developing countries. We seek to promote the value of junior doctor involvement in this field and push for more support and encouragement from training bodies for trainees pursuing this interest. This organisation is a member of the G4 Alliance
