My name is Yusef Imani Mosley. I was born and raised in Columbia, SC, USA. I completed my undergraduate degree at Emory University, and finished my medical school training at University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. I completed my neurosurgical residency in Tampa, FL. Additionally, I've completed a pediatric spine deformity fellowship at Shriner's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, and I finished an adult spinal deformity fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University. I started participating in global neurosurgery during my fourth year of residency with a group of pediatric neurosurgeon in Guatemala City, Guatemala. This experience changed my life and I knew at that point that I wanted to dedicate a part of my neurosurgical career to work overseas. Since that initial trip, I've worked/volunteered in China, Ghana, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. I've most recently committed to annually contributing to the efforts to support the neurosurgeons and training program at Black Lion Hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I currently am practicing complex spine and cranial neurosurgery at Saint Lukes Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
