Description of offer
With the expertise at our division , we would like to offer educational support , clinical support to other divisions in need. Additionally, we would like to provide educational opportunities to interested fellows and residents via an international fellowship ( up to 6 months). We hope to collaborate with other children’s hospitals for this purpose to serve the well-being of children together.
The Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery is based at Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH), a 370 bed hospital in Little Rock, AR. We perform about 550 cases /year including all pediatric neurosurgical pathologies. It is the only children’s hospital in the state of Arkansas.
We we are a level 1 Trauma center with a comprehensive Pediatric intensive care unit. ACH is the only level 4 epilepsy center in the state ( most comprehensive level) . We have a multidisciplinary craniofacial clinic that serves to patients with simple and complex anamolies. We serve a large population of patients with hydrocephalus and other related disorders , congenital anamolies including spina bifida . A well established multidisciplinary spinal disorders clinic provides care for patients with Spina Bifida , other congenital anamolies of spine as well as spinal cord injury. Additionally a spasticity clinic is also present.
