Description of request
I hereby request for an opportunity to train as a vascular Neurosurgeon under trainer of international repute with a view to transfer the skills to Nigeria, for local consumption. I will be equally grateful if such can run with a PhD Neuroscience programme in furtherance of my M.Sc Surgical Sciences obtained from the University of Edinburgh, in 2015
Endoscopy for Hydrocephalus: Expertise readily available here but equipment are in short supply
Spasticity/pain/Functional Neurosurgery: Alleviating the suffering of the masses as most of these services are not presently available in the country
Spine Surgery: The patient load in this area and the varieties of presentation has made this area an extreme necessity for all neurosurgeons especially as our population is aging gradually
Tumour Surgery: Oncologic Neurosurgery remains a challenging area in this setting. Most of the adjuvant therapies and non-invasive intervention are not readily available here. Hence, the need to get the required expertise to assist millions of brain tumour patients in Nigeria
Vascular Neurosurgery: A highly specialised area of Neurosurgery where manpower is in short supply. The little available expertise in the country are hindered by lack of gadgets to function optimally
