Description of request
I hereby request for provision of basic instrumentation and expert training on Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy, Ureteroscopy & lithotrispy and Kidney transplantation.
I am a Nigerian trained Urologist and Kidney transplant Surgeon working in Nigeria. There are certain limitations in the quality of Urological practice in Nigeria.
Majority of urology facilities still perform open surgeries for urolithiasis. I have had some basic training on semi-rigid ureteroscopy and pneumatic lithotripsy and have performed a few. I however request for training on Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy, flexible ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy as this will help to elevate the quality of my practice and in turn help many Nigerians. I also request for basic instrumentation for these procedures.
I am priviledged to perform the most kidney transplants in Nigeria at the moment, but will require training on laparoscopic donor nephrectomy as well as some provisionn of the basic laparoscopic equipment to undertake this surgery.
