Description of request

Neurosurgery is a new speciality at Burkina Faso. We are twenty neurosurgeons for more than twenty millions of population. Challenges are multiples (trauma, malformatives disoders, degenerative spine disorders, vascular pathology, tumors, etc). Neurosurgeons need more training and equiments to fill the gap.

operative surgery: assistance for some difficult cases

Fellowship: to share experiences from countries where neurosurgery is more develop

Research: the field of research in neurosurgery is very poor in my country. I am very insterested in research project (spine, neural tube defect, tumor, etc) and academic exchange

Equipment: neurosurgeons work in difficult conditions. Microscope, endoscope, C-Arm, basic neurosurgical instruments set, motor for dril and trepanation, etc are not available everywhere and eveytime. Surgeons are obliged to buy themselves equipement to perform surgery in some cases.
