Description of request
I am a general surgeon, seeking a fellowship opportunity in general/colorectal surgery. My focus is on minimally invasive techniques and clinical research, with a commitment to advancing evidence-based practice and patient care. I am eager to collaborate with experienced surgeons and institutions to enhance my skills, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to surgical education and research.
Being an early-career general surgeon from a low-income country, I am seeking a fellowship opportunity to gain fundamental skills in essential surgical techniques and procedures. As structured training in advanced surgical methods is limited in my region, I am looking for a program that provides hands-on experience (or observership) in basic colorectal procedures, laparoscopic techniques, and perioperative patient management.
My goal is to build a strong foundation in my technical skills and learn from experienced mentors in a supportive training environment. I am particularly interested in opportunities that offer practical training, structured mentorship, and exposure to standardized surgical protocols to help bridge the knowledge gap and improve patient care in resource-limited settings. Open to both national and international programs to develop my skills and contribute to surgical education and practice in my home country.
