Chibueze Agwu Medical Student Scholar, Barrow Global from The University of Chicago is doing a project – can you help by answering a 5-10 minute survey?
“My name is Chibueze Agwu, and I am the Barrow Global Student Scholar for the 2024-2025 academic year. I am also a medical student at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. I was born and raised in Denver, CO and completed my undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis. After my 3rd year of medical school, I decided to come work with Barrow Global for a year before completing my last year of medical school. I have long been interested in global health and neurosurgery, and this role perfectly melded both. I saw this as a chance to make a real, sustainable impact while growing in my research and clinical knowledge. I’m excited to continue making connections in this field, and thank you for taking the time to fill out the survey!”
What is the survey about?
“We at Barrow Global, a section within the Barrow Neurological Institute, are completing a survey analyzing the impact of US medical students on global neurosurgery.
This survey is to be sent out and completed by past/current United States medical students who have worked with global neurosurgery programs. We are looking to evaluate the academic impact of US medical students on global neurosurgery. Questions should be answered as when you were a medical student, regardless of if you are now a resident, fellow, attending, etc. If you have completed medical school, it should be within the past 10 years.
We hope that you will be able to take this 5-10 minute survey if you fit the criteria. Additionally, please feel free to pass it on to colleagues and friends that fit the criteria. All survey results will be anonymized. Thank you so much for your help and please let us know if you have any questions!”
