Our Mission Statement
Global Surgery Amsterdam is a growing leader in the field of global surgery, dedicated to advocating for essential surgical care worldwide through Research, Training, and Care (RTC). We bring together medical specialists, residents, global health doctors and students, patients, local caregivers, communities, and any/all stakeholders that seek to empower surgical health-systems by increasing access to, and quality of, surgical care. Through our RTC method we develop a tailored approach to specific local surgical needs that ensures local ownership and capacity building, thereby reducing the surgical burden of disease and leading to healthier patient outcomes.
