Our Mission Statement

A leader in high-tech computerized diagnostic and treatment methods, Weill Cornell Medicine Neurological Surgery receives patients from around the world at our facilities in New York City. Our specialists treat the full spectrum of neurological disease, from brain and spine tumors, stroke, aneurysms, and epilepsy to Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. Through our international programs, we train and support neurosurgeons and other healthcare providers in low- and middle-income countries around the globe. Our Neurosurgical Project in Tanzania is a well-developed, robust program that includes annual in-person training in country as well as a yearlong global fellowship in Dar es Salaam and ongoing video consults throughout the year. Local surgeons also visit New York for several months at a time to train here with top neurosurgical experts, then bring that training home with them.
