As a Pediatric Neurosurgeon at Advocate Aurora Health, I provide compassionate and expert clinical care to children with complex neurological conditions. I have an MD from University of Illinois at Chicago, and completed a clinical fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago / Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. I also completed a research fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery / Neuro-oncology at Children's National Medical Center Genetic Medicine Research Institute, where I contributed to multiple publications and projects. I have over 15 years of work experience as a neurosurgeon, including at Georgetown University Medical Center, where I was a resident physician. I have also been an NIH-funded primary investigator of pediatric brain tumor biology, and serve as a clinical development consultant for Chimerix Inc, developing a promising treatment for H3K27M mutant glioma, the focus of my laboratory research, under global clinical trial and FDA review. I am passionate about medical education, research, and pediatrics, and I have skills in these areas, as well as in neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, molecular genetics and bioinformatics. My mission is to improve the lives and outcomes of children with neurological diseases, and to advance the field of pediatric neurosurgery and neuro-oncology through innovation and collaboration.
