Description
The Arkansas Children's Pediatric Neurosurgery Service offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services for children from newborn to age 21. Our dedicated team of three full-time pediatric neurosurgeons provides treatment and follow-up for all pediatric neurosurgical conditions with individual and multidisciplinary clinics, state of the art inpatient /outpatient facilities, and research.
The Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery is based at Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH), a 370 bed hospital in Little Rock, AR. We perform about 550 cases /year. It is the only children’s hospital in the state of Arkansas. It is also the state’s only American College of Surgeons Level 1 pediatric trauma center, state’s only level IV neonatal intensive care unit, and the state’s only National Association of Epilepsy Centers level IV comprehensive epilepsy program. As a teaching affiliate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), ACH provides pediatric education for fellows, residents, medical students, nursing students, and allied health professionals.
With the expertise at our division , we would like to offer educational support , clinical support to other divisions in need. Additionally, we would like to provide educational opportunities to interested fellows and residents via an international fellowship ( up to 6 months). We hope to collaborate with other children’s hospitals for this purpose to serve the well-being of children together with a common global perspective and goal.
