Description
I am a fourth year medical student at the University of Oxford, with a passion for global neurosurgery. I achieved first class honours in my intercalation degree with a focus in neuroscience. During this year, I worked with the Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour, conducting original research, and wrote a dissertation in neuro-oncology. I've since completed an online seminar series with the neurosurgical department at the Lenox Hill hospital, in which I was able to study neurosurgery specifically.
As the current president for the Oxford Neurosurgical society, I'm keen to develop research partnerships with global surgeons. I'm currently the Oxford regional lead for NANSIG and look forward to getting involved in international research projects there, and am in the neurosurgical research group with Lifebox GSA, a global surgery organisation in which we conduct research to make global surgery safe and accessible. I would love to continue this work - advocating and working towards safe surgery worldwide - with intersurgeon.
