The Department of Anesthesiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center has an active and vibrant presence in global anesthesiology development, education and service initiatives. These have included training programs for residents at our institution with a desire to incorporate global health into their careers. It has also included research and funded support for educational initiatives to build anesthesia capacity with partners in Ethiopia and Kenya.
